About C.H. Veterinary Clinic

A Fresno Practice Treating Dogs and Cats Under One Roof

Our Facility

All care is provided at the clinic on N Temperance Ave, which houses our in-house laboratory and radiology.

Our Story

C.H. Veterinary Clinic works out of 2588 N Temperance Ave on the east side of Fresno. On any given day the schedule can move from a kitten’s vaccinations to a dental cleaning to a senior dog’s bloodwork, and having diagnostics on site shapes how quickly each of those gets answered.

Fresno County families rely on one clinic for the full span of their pets’ lives, from first vaccines to senior care. The dog in the house and the cat on the couch belong to the same people, and it makes sense for them to call one number.

Our Mission

To give Fresno County pet owners direct access to a veterinarian who knows their animal, with diagnostics done on site so decisions do not have to wait.

We keep the answers close to the visit. Bloodwork runs in our own lab and radiology is done on site, so the routine diagnostic work gets finished the day you come in.

What Makes C.H. Veterinary Clinic Different

One Clinic for Your Pet's Whole Life

One relationship and one set of records, from first vaccines through senior care.

Two Veterinarians, Complementary Training

Dr. Hagus brings UC Davis and Texas A&M training to the practice. Dr. Singh focuses on small animal medicine. You are not getting one veterinarian stretched thin.

In-House Bloodwork

CBC, chemistry, organ panels, and pre-anesthetic testing run on site with results during the appointment rather than a callback days later.

Radiology On Site

X-ray imaging done at the clinic, so basic diagnostics do not require a referral trip.

Saturday Morning Hours

Open Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for owners who cannot get away during the workweek.

Dr. Charlene Hagus, DVM

Veterinarian

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis Internship and Residency, Texas A&M University

Dr. Hagus grew up in Cottonwood, California, where animals were part of daily life long before they were part of a caseload.

She earned her DVM at UC Davis, then completed an internship and residency at Texas A&M University. She practiced for two years in Virginia before returning to California and establishing her practice in Fresno.

What clients get from that background is a veterinarian trained in referral-level medicine, working out of a general practice where a senior dog’s workup and a kitten exam can land on the same afternoon.

At home she has two Smooth Collies and seven cats, which suggests the small animal side is not an obligation.

Dr. Hukampartap Singh, DVM

Veterinarian

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST)
ECFVG Certified
Member, American Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. Singh grew up on a farm in India with several veterinarians in the family, so the career question was largely settled before he had to think about it. He earned his DVM at SKUAST and practiced for two years in India before moving to the United States and completing ECFVG certification through the American Veterinary Medical Association, the credentialing process that verifies a foreign-trained veterinarian meets United States DVM standards.

His clinical focus is small animal medicine: general practice and wellness care, same-day urgent cases, soft tissue surgery, and dental procedures. Four years of practice across two continents means he has treated the same diseases under very different resources, which tends to make a veterinarian clear-eyed about what a case actually needs.

He lives in the area with his wife Haroop and a rescue cat named Gus Gus.
