Terms & Conditions

C.H. Veterinary Clinic – Fresno, CA

Effective Date: 8-August-2026

By using this website or receiving veterinary services from C.H. Veterinary Clinic, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of This Website

The content on this website is provided for general information about our services. It is not veterinary medical advice and does not replace an examination by a veterinarian. Never delay seeking care for a sick or injured animal based on something you read here.

Content on this site may be updated or changed at any time without notice.

2. No Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship Through the Website

Using this website, submitting a form, or sending an email does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. Under California law, that relationship requires a veterinarian to have examined your animal and to be familiar with its condition. We cannot diagnose conditions or prescribe medication for an animal we have not examined.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

  • Appointment requests submitted through this website are requests, not confirmed appointments. An appointment is confirmed when our staff contacts you.
  • Requests submitted outside our open hours are answered on the next business day.
  • We ask for advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments when an emergency requires the veterinarian’s immediate attention, and we will contact you as soon as we know.

4. Emergency Care and Scope of Services

C.H. Veterinary Clinic is a daytime practice and does not operate a 24-hour small animal emergency hospital.

  • Emergencies outside our open hours should be taken to Veterinary Emergency Services, 1637 N Fresno St, Fresno, CA 93703, (559) 486-0520, or another 24-hour emergency facility.

Referral information provided on this site is for convenience. We do not operate or control any referral facility and are not responsible for care provided by another practice.

5. Payment

  • Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements are agreed in advance.
  • We provide estimates before treatment. An estimate is a good-faith projection, not a fixed quote. Conditions found during a procedure can change what is required, and we will contact you when possible before proceeding beyond the estimate.
  • Accounts not paid may be subject to collection, and the client is responsible for associated costs.

6. Medical Records

Medical records created by our practice are the property of the practice. You are entitled to a copy of your animal’s records, and we release records to another veterinarian at your request. Records are retained for the period required by California law.

7. Prescriptions and Medications

  • Prescriptions require a current veterinarian-client-patient relationship as required by California law.
  • Refills may require a recheck examination or current bloodwork.
  • We provide written prescriptions on request for filling elsewhere.
  • We are not responsible for medications obtained from third-party sellers, including product authenticity, storage, handling, or efficacy. Manufacturer guarantees on preventive products generally apply only to products purchased through a veterinarian.
  • Administer all medications exactly as directed. Never give an animal medication prescribed for a person or for a different animal.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, C.H. Veterinary Clinic and its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or from services provided.

Veterinary medicine does not guarantee outcomes. We provide care consistent with accepted professional standards, but we cannot guarantee a specific result of any treatment, procedure, or diagnostic test.

9. Consent to Treatment

By presenting an animal for care, you represent that you are the owner or the owner’s authorized agent, and you consent to examination and to treatment as discussed. For procedures requiring anesthesia or surgery, separate written consent is obtained.

10. Abandoned Animals

Animals left at the clinic beyond the agreed pickup time without contact may be treated as abandoned under California law after the applicable notice period, and boarding charges may accrue.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of C.H. Veterinary Clinic or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

12. Third-Party Links

This website may link to third-party sites, including an online pharmacy and educational resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Fresno County, California.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The Effective Date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website or our services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
